Children's ministry

Our goal is to partner with parents in the spiritual development of their children.

We have created a high-energy environment for children to

DISCOVER THE LOVE OF JESUS, where they can WORSHIP God,

CONNECT with others, GROW in the word, and SERVE our world!

We have a wonderful group of trained volunteers excited about sharing

the Word of God with your amazing children.

... Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them,

for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” —Matthew 19:14

Children's Ministry has two areas of focus,

    • Garden Visits-Garden Visit is a ministry devoted to taking care of our new moms and families after childbirth or adoption, at home, with a meal and a gift bag for the baby.  Call the church office at 812-372-1571 once the family is home and settled to share the news of your addition to your family. You will then get a call from the Children’s Ministry contact person to deliver to you a gift bag and meal. Second, third or fourth baby?  Doesn’t matter, they’re all God’s children! It’s that simple!  Just let us know when you have a baby and we’ll take care of the rest.  We want to bless you and welcome your new little one. Want to bless others while serving God and your church?  If you can make a meal or deliver this gift, contact Connie McGinty at johnmcginty@comcast.net to serve.

    • Vacation Bible School June 11-14 2018  - 9am-12pm Ages 4 through 5th Gr completed

Today’s generation is like no other in history.  They’ve been “linked-in: since day one with instant access to a sea of information.  A constant media feed and increasing push toward excellence has led to waves of worries and struggles that kids have never faced before.

Kids leave Shipwrecked VBS knowing that there is Someone bigger than their struggles, Someone stronger than their weakness, Someone who loves them unconditionally…Jesus. This is a huge event at St Peter's and we need over 100 volunteers to make this week happen.  Teens (6th grade completed) and Adults can serve after completion of our Child Protection Plan.
    • JAM (Jesus And Me) meets once a month on Fridays 9-10:30am at St Peter's.  This is a time for children ages 2-5 and their parents, grandparents or caregivers to hear a Bible story, free play, have a snack. On Dec 8th the kids will participate in a Christmas service activity, hear the Christmas story and make a craft.  For more information please contact Heather Bush at 812-343-7487 or Amy Mocas at 812-344-6377
